Today my room mate rosie and i walked around the Notre dame area to shoot our photo assignment. This is the first assignment and is just a way for those who are new to photography to get the hang of shooting manually and using the darkroom. In the evening, to make up for last nights disappointment we went back to blanca's apartment, and later ventured on to the social club to see busy p and other french electro heros. I cant remember exactly.

Blanca is is living in her friends apartment for a couple weeks and it is adorable. Naturally we have been spending a lot of time there, and today around midnight after sitting around chatting and drinking wine for a few hours we decided to go to the social club once more, however due to the fact that tonight was a special night at the club (3 day long anniversary party) the bouncers were checking IDs, and since the girls didnt bother to bring theirs we didn't get in. But no matter, we went to a bar and went back the next day and had a great time as always.

Continuing our gallery/museum visits today we visited a photography museum and some asian gardens which i am not exactly sure why they were connected to the museum, but they were. There was also an amazing marble interior "greenhouse" type building which i want to get inside and photograph. I was able to press my camera to the door and get this picture.

We have a lot of gallery visits planned and today we saw an exposition in the louis Vuitton Gallery above the store on Champs-Élysées. It was about how your senses can fool you, and to enter the gallery we had to ride in a completely black elevator. what fun.
After the rest of our day at speos, and a lecture on the stop system we met andrew and his parisian boy at a gay bar near hotel deville. Jan and i, most likely being the only straight men there obviously had a wild time.
Were still laughing uncontrollably over this picture. Just as it was taken this man asked "do you want me to take you?" Im pretty sure motioned to the camera as he said it, but still, it was hilarious.

Today i ate gold. I met with a designer (purposefully vague) who my mother happened to become daily email friends with last year. We had tea at his hotel with macaroons and assorted pastries, one of which i was surprised to find was decorated in edible gold. I wish i had a picture!

Left for the Louvre area in the afternoon, and although we didnt go inside because it was closing soon we had the opportunity to walk around the majestic building, taking all the typical touristy pictures. Afterward we decided to escape the cold and ride the ferris wheel which obviously gave us a great view of the city, but it was unfortunate to see skyscrapers on the outskirts of the city which ruin the otherwise beautiful skyline. In the night we returned to the Bastille area and went to a couple bars. Around 2am we decided we all needed crepes (jambon au fromage), before fighting for taxis back to the hostel.
